Amtsgericht (District Court) of Horní Planá
Extent and Medium
6,54 linear meters
Acquisition
The documents of the Amtsgericht (District Court) of Horní Planá were found in the Registry of the People's Court in Český Krumlov in 1959, along with the materials of the former District Court of Horní Planá whose powers were transferred in 1945 to the District Court of Český Krumlov. The documents were arranged by a district archivist in Český Krumlov and handed over to the State Archives in Třeboň. The agenda of the inheritance court was taken over by the State Archives in Třeboň in 1955 from the former Archives of the Ministry of Interior in Prague. In 1961 the fonds was arranged and inventoried at the State Archives in Třeboň.
Scope and Content
The files relating to persons of Jewish origin have survived in fragments: the recovery of debts from Jews who had to flee from the border regions, 1939-1941 (call No. K, inv. No. 20, box 9; call No. M, inv. No. 21, box 9). If the name is not known, searching is difficult. Files concerning Jewish inhabitants may sometimes be found in other parts of the fonds, too.
System of Arrangement
The arranged part of the fonds is divided as follows: I. The court agenda: A/Books, B/Files: 1) Administrative files: a) Secret presidium files, b) The principal files, c) Collecting files, d) Personnel files, 2) The court agenda (1938-1940, 1941-1945); II. The agenda of the inheritance court.
