Biographical History
Ivan Ivanov Bagryanov (1891-1945) was the Bulgarian general and political activist; a trusted associate of Tsar Boris III, 1938-41 minister of agriculture, June-September 1944 prime minister of Bulgaria. He conducted secret negotiations with the Western powers, seeking to withdraw Bulgaria from the war; after coming to power of communists, he was sentenced to death and executed.
Scope and Content
Contains anonymous letters against the Bulgarian Government Jewish Policy, opinions and speeches regarding discrimination against Jews in Bulgaria. Also includes a letter from the Bulgarian Consulate in Prague regarding instructions about Yugoslavian problems.
