E. Reichert, librarian and documentalist for the CNHEJ and IEJ, strove to preserve the published periodicals by Belgian and international Jewish organisations and to preserve press clippings regarding the different themes the institute is putting forward.

The library holds more than fifteen thousand works related to Judaism. It holds a unique collection of Jewish periodicals emanating from Belgian and international Jewish organisations. The library possesses the complete collection of the periodical Regards par of the CCLJ, of the Centrale d’œuvres Sociales, du Kehilatenou, de Menorah, created in 1955 by Chaïm Perelman. The many press clippings are arranged thematically, and by sections in the library. It also holds documents regarding Jews from the USSR.

The Library had a collection of about 3000 books in Yiddish. Those works were first listed in the Library of Jewish Solidarity, the Library of the Bund and private doners. Those works have been entrusted at the Belgian Jewish Musem.

E. Reichert, bibliothécaire et documentaliste pour le CNHEJ puis l’IEJ, s’efforça de conserver les périodiques publiés par des organisations juives belges et internationales, de même que des coupures de presse pouvant compéter les thématiques privilégiées par l’Institut.

La bibliothèque comporte plus de quinze mille ouvrages liés au judaïsme. Elle contient une collection unique de périodiques juifs émanant d’organisations juives belges et d’autres pays. On y trouve notamment la collection complète du périodique Regards, organe du CCLJ, de la Centrale, organe de la Centrale d’œuvres Sociales, du Kehilatenou, de Menorah, créé en 1955 par Chaïm Perelman. On notera par ailleurs de nombreuses coupures de presse regroupées de manière thématique, selon les sujets abordés et sections de la bibliothèque. La bibliothèque comprend également de la documentation relative aux Juifs d’URSS.

La bibliothèque comprenait une collection de près de 3000 livres en yiddish. Ils provenaient de la bibliothèque de la Solidarité juive, de la bibliothèque du Bund et de donateurs privés. Ces ouvrages furent confiés au Musée Juif de Belgique.
