History
History of the archive starts in 1939 when the various archival offices of the Penza region were transferred to the archival department of the NKVD and newly created under its direction State Archive of the Penza Oblast.
In 1991 Archive took over the documents of the Archive of the Oblast Committee of the Communist Party in Penza, which was operating since 1940s.

Archive holds documents referring to the history of Penza region/Oblast from the XVIII century until the present day.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10 am - 5 pm Friday: 10 am - 1 pm
