Muzej "12. februar"

The concentration camp "Crveni krst" (Red Cross) was established in mid-1941 by the German authorities. Until 1944 more than 35.000 persons were interned, and about 10.000 killed in the killing site of Bubanj. In 1967 a memorial museum was opened on the former campgrounds; in 1979 the campgrounds were declared a Cultural monument of Exceptional Importance. Today the museum is part of the National Museum of Nis. The building hosts a permanent exhibition on the camp and its victims.

The museum is one of the objects of the National Museum of Nis; the director, Mr Nebojsa Ozimic is also the vice-director of the National Museum.

Personal documentation of the inmates, German orders, newspapers, testimonies and other documents about the camp. There are documents about the Jews and the Roma interned in the camp and killed in the Bubanj site (the men) or sent to the Sajmiste concentration camp in Belgrade (women and children).
