On July 1, 2013, the Waalwijk Municipal archives joined the Streekarchief Langstraat Heusden Altena.
Records Management and Collecting Policies
Apart from managing government records, the Streekarchief Langstraat Heusden Altena also manages a large number of private archives of persons, families, associations, churches or businesses. Although the provisions of the Public Records Act apply only to government records, the Regional Archive is actively engaged in the acquisition of private archives and collections.

The materials of the Streekarchief Langstraat Heusden Altena range from a collection of war documents to the archives of a number of municipalities of Waalwijk, Sprang-Capelle and Waspik.

The reading room is open Monday to Thursday from 9am to 5pm.
