Historia
In Tiraspol, the city state archive resumed its work in September 1944. The documents of the prewar period were either destroyed during wartime, or transferred to Chișinău. Therefore, securing archival funds of the Tiraspol city archive started from scratch. The archive was renamed into the Central State Archive of the [unrecognised] Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (TsGA PMR) in 1991.
