The Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Archives was established in 1950. The head office of archives is in Miskolc. The archives has two branch archives in Sátoraljaújhely and in Alsózsolca. The archival materials consist of the files of Borsod, Abaúj-Torna and Zemplén county and the documents of Miskolc.

Archival and Other Holdings
The archival collections of the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Archives consist of some 11,000 meters of archival records. The Archives in Miskolc collects various files about Borsod county and about Miskolc from the feudal period. The Archives conducts research project about the history of Jews in Miskolc.
