History
The IWTCR was set up for the purpose of creating a center for meetings of writers and translators in 1996.
Building(s)
The International Writers' and Translators' Centre of Rhodes ‘Waves of Three Seas' is situated on a hillside overlooking the Aegean Sea, near the middle of town. It is divided into two parts - the main, traditional building which houses the administrative offices, meeting rooms, libraries and other functions, and the newer wing which was opened in April 1997. This wing constitutes our hostel facilities and contains 10 single rooms, each with its own shower and WC. There is also a communal dining room and kitchen, which can be used by guests who wish to prepare their own meals. We also provide sheets and towels. The hostel is open to writers and translators not only from the area of the Three Seas but also further afield, offering a tranquil, informal working environment, which we hope will make for a productive and enjoyable stay. It provides accommodation free of charge for a period of two to six weeks with our guests covering their own travel and food expenses.

The archives cover the period (or partially) of the Italian occupation. They hold the Italian archives of the Municipality of Rhodes. Obviously, the material is of great interesting for the Jewish community, its members before and during WWII.
