Archival and Other Holdings

Among others contains restitution- and/or compensation-related materials: holds restitution files (mostly on spoliation); archive is "open" Archives of Foreign Affairs: funds produced regularly submitted by the Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since its beginning until today.In this section: - Headquarters- Diplomatic and consular Representations, cultural network - French representations to international organizations- Protectorates, mandates, French zone of occupation - "Etablissements sous tutelle".These records are now kept at La Courneuve (central government archives and old collections of Colmar) and Nantes (external services).

Finding Aids, Guides, and Publication

The archives held at La Courneuve (archives from the central administration at Quai d'Orsay) and Nantes (archives repatriated from embassies, consulates, cultural cervices) have been inventorised, following the international Isad-G standard. Detailed inventories (in .pdf format) are being prepared.
