Niederösterreichisches Landesarchiv, Außendepot Bad Pirawarth

The Lower Austrian State Archives hold former and present administrative and court records (documents, manuscripts and documents from the Middle Ages to the present day), and further archives of former landlords, court archives, documents of important figures, various collections, etc. On 18 November 1997 the new national archive in St. Pölten was created. The two departments and the NÖInstitut für Landeskunde were for the first time in the same location. The branch in Bad Pirawarth also remains.

The holdings of the district headquarters located in Bad Pirawarth have been moved to the newly constructed external depot, NÖLandesarchiv, in St. Pölten-West.
